“Being a parent of a child with ASD can be a lonely road and often there is not the right support available at affordable costs without the long wait lists! There is no need to feel anxious or alone as Autism Support is here to help and make life easier”… Catherine Rosalion

Catherine Rosalion is one of Australia’s leading Autism specialists. She has helped hundreds of families with children with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) to lead happier and easier lives. Catherine has been working with children for over 20 years and her passion specializing in ASD grew from working with her first child at 17 years of age. She has been dedicated to working in the field ever since!

families1Families with children with ASD face many struggles on a daily basis. Catherine is compassionate and understands these issues and has patiently helped achieve countless positive and long term outcomes.

  • Catherine has lived in a family’s home for 3 months and achieved solitary sleeping, day and night time toilet training for a 4 year old girl with ASD allowing her parents, grandmother and brother to finally get a full night sleep and giving the little girl such confidence and pride in her achievements that she felt happy around her peers.
  • Catherine helped a sister and brother with ASD (aged 2 and 4 years) regulate their emotions and be able to use language to express how they feel rather than their unacceptable and unsafe behaviour of tantrums, screaming, hitting, biting and throwing. This family is now able to take their children to the shopping centre and can eat out in restaurants and enjoy happy and relaxing family times together.
  • Catherine had success with a 6 year old girl who only ate white food (plain yogurt, milk, processed cheese, bread, and pasta) by increasing her diet to include a wide range of healthy foods, like fruit and vegetables, allowing the family to share and enjoy meal times together and eatat friends homes with ease.

Catherine not only has extensive practical experience but has the credentials to match from all three of Australia’s leading Universities (La Trobe, Monash and The University of Melbourne). Catherine has degrees in Psychology and Teaching and holds a Masters in Education, specializing in early intervention, inclusion and special education for children with ASD. She has completed advanced training in Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) and the Early Start Denver Model (ESDM).

Catherine has worked in a myriad of settings throughout Melbourne, including mainstream and specialist kindergartens, schools and child care centres. Catherine spent many years working on the ABA team at Bullen Heights School, taught primary students at Western Autistic School and recently taught pre-schoolers in an ESDM group setting at the world renowned La Trobe University’s Autism Specific Early Learning and Care Centre (ASELCC). Catherine has even conducted assessments and written therapy and intervention programs for children with ASD interstate and overseas, and worked as a therapist and consultant for countless families implementing ABA and ESDM therapy programs.
Now, Catherine has founded Autism Support and specializes in coming to you in the comfort of your own home or children’s educational setting, to offer you the vital help and support you need to make a lasting positive difference.
